Royal Society of Medicine Sports Injuries Conference 2018

In January 2018, sports surgeons, physicians and therapists gathered at the RSM in London to discuss the latest techniques in managing sports injuries. Mr Oussedik chaired a session on regenerative medicine with fascinating talks from visiting faculty on the biological processes of joint ageing and possible new avenues for cartilage regeneration. 

 

AO Recon Principles of Peri-prosthetic fracture management course 2017

In December 2017, Mr Oussedik travelled to Davos, Switzerland, to teach on the inaugural peri-prosthetic fracture course. This attracted delegates from around the world to learn the principles and surgical techniques employed to treat broken bones around hip and knee replacement implants. This is becoming an increasingly important field as the number of patients benefiting from joint replacements increases every year.

 

NFL London series 2017

As the NFL returned to London in the Autumn of 2017, Mr Oussedik was on the sidelines as part of the medical team looking after these sporting titans. Injuries were mercifully minor for the most part...
